Sarah LaTourette wins GOP primary election for 76th district seat in Ohio House
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Sarah LaTourette has defeated Tea Party participant Linda O’Brien in the Republican primary race for the 76th district seat in the Ohio House of Representatives, according to results from the Portage County Board of Elections.
The vote was split 70 to 30 percent with LaTourette taking 4,911 votes compared to O’Brien who took 2,111 votes.
Sarah LaTourette, 30, is the daughter of Steve LaTourette, a former Republican congressman who heads the Main Street Partnership, a group that advocates for centrist politics in the Republican party. She lives in Bainbridge and works for Adoption Network Cleveland.
